  i'm not sure what good these things do, but this petition needs 211 more signatures to reach 1,000. .

  the organization known as the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses or watchtower bible & tract society headquartered in brooklyn, new york, have for many years enjoyed what is known as 501(c) (3) status whereby a nonprofit organization is exempt from paying federal income tax if its activities have the following purposes:.

  I agree 100%. I mean being tax exempt as a charity status is one thing to try to teach people doctrines at a local church(s). But being a multi-billion dollar real estate company and buying and selling properties in the multi-millions is another thing.!! Something has to be done.

  i joined this wonderful site, only a few weeks ago, although i have been away from the borg, for almost 20 years.

  i didnt introduce myself, on a personal level, but i jumped right in, commenting, making threads, and just immersing myself in this community.

  what a time, indeed, to be here, its almost as if i was "called" here, because the week i lurked, and joined, was when all this recent stuff came out.

  A load of lives they have ruined. Prevented countless people from getting married. 10's of thousands perished because of an ''eroneous'' misinterpretation of the ''blood policy'' and many, many, many youths careers foiled because of discouragement of higher education.

  If someone is of age, I strongly encourage you to move out, have your own place and away from all that nutty crazy influence. Your future is far too valuable to piss away like this. AMEN!!

  so i sat thru another brain mushing session for the sake of family.

  it is no myth by now that the more time you spend awake the harder it is the accept that people just take all of this in without asking.

  a computer has more reasoning abilities than your average jw at this point.

  Yeah, that was always the part that baffled me too. It says clearly in the bible that ''every eye will see him''. But the Borg always publishes how ''he has come invisibly'', all that invisible stuff. It doesn't say anywhere about Christ coming invisibly. I could never get my head around that.

  The Borg must be quite aware of a ''rising tide of doubters''. It seems that they publish these articles whenever they sense apathy amongst the rank and file. Maybe it's because also 2014-15 has come to pass with no GT or big A and perhaps more rank and file doubting, they stir things up with these pointy articles to fear monger the rank and file again.

  Rumor that SP OVER 50 are being put back in the system.

  just read this over on jwr that a few members have heard that sp that were being told that they were being cut at the first of the year are now being put back in the system.

  the speculation is that they would have a harder time finding employment than those under 50.. anyone else able to confirm this?.

  its probably a good thing as the wtbts will lose that money, these older ones will still be able to make it and the wtbts have shown their hand as far as this is what they would have liked to have happen.

  The sound of a train...

  i remember hearing the sounds of the train horn blowing on january 1st 2015 and remembering, "another year and no armagedon".

  and i was so disappointed.

  i hated to hear that train whistle blow.

  Yeah, I just can't imagine the disappointment of those who have been in the borg 45-50 years plus. Each fall or spring ''big announcement'' , ''big announcement'' only to announce some measly book or meeting change. Always been ''so close'' to the big ''A'' and nothing ever comes. Must be very tiring, I'm very sure.

  Yeah I hear you. The sound of reality can be quite sobering. It's kind of amazing how you refer to a train horn. It's like you hear the train getting louder and louder then passing then passing on then the whistle gets quieter and quieter it makes you compare with time and the years how they pass on and on......it makes you wonder how the rank and file feel after 45-50 plus years on in the Borg.

  this issue contains the study articles for february 29 to april 3, 2016.. what about the number of those partaking at the memorial?12, 13. why should we not worry about the number of those who eat the bread and drink the wine at the memorial?12 in recent years, we have seen an increase in the number of those partaking at the memorial of christs death.

  that trend contrasts with the decrease in the number of partakers that we saw for many decades.

  They have ''gradually realized'' that something is up with the memorial numbers going up,up and up. They have to put something in print in WT to try to mitigate the concerns of the rank and file, people are wondering I'm sure.
